The Front

I started work on the front, with the intention of creating a lot of layering of materials on the front, too. Brushed aluminum, orange and black opaque acrylic are the contents...



I start by cutting a base material for the front from 3mm aluminium, the same as the rest of the case.

After that a piece of 5mm black opaque acrylic goes on top, then more aluminium, then orange acrylic, which was cut to allow for a slot for the DVD drive. I held all the pieces in place with my trademark bolts.

After a lot of thinking and testing, I decided that the round steel ring will be used as a powerbutton.
